Welcome to the Land of Two Lakes!
We warmly welcome you and wish you a relaxing holiday at Kochelsee and Walchensee. During your stay with us, you can use your guest card to use numerous services at reduced prices or even for free.
In the Two Lakes Region you are mobile even without your own car. After your arrival, with the Kochelseebahn from Munich or by car, you can discover our wonderful region with the guest card and by bus and train in a more stress-free, environmentally friendly and above all, free of charge way. Simply arrive, leave your car behind and go on a relaxing tour of discovery without having to look for a parking space.
You get discounts with your guest card, among other things. at:

• Franz Marc Museum Kochel a. Lake & Castle Museum Murnau
• Kristall Therme Kochel am See
• Freilichtmuseum Glentleiten
• SUP rental at the Kristall Therme (€2 discount on the first SUP rental hour)
• Fishing at Walchensee
• Guest program with brass band concerts, themed tours and hikes, nature summer, lectures, theater and local evenings
You will also receive, among other things: further discounts in the locations:

You can reach attractive excursion destinations free of charge by bus and train, such as the monastery in Benediktbeuern, the Herzogstandbahn, Lake Walchensee, Schlehdorf and Bad Tölz.
Please note: Due to a tariff change, the guest card is no longer valid across districts for the time being. Free bus rides are therefore only possible within the Tölzer district or the MVV communities in zones 6,7,8 and 9. However, it is now possible to use Deutsche Bahn free of charge. For the trip to the Glentleiten open-air museum, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Murnau a. Staffelsee, Mittenwald an additional payment is required from December 10, 2023.
You still have free travel with your guest card in the area highlighted in green (see network map). The following bus lines are available to our holiday guests free of charge:
9608 Kochel – Walchensee (free to Einsiedl) – Garmisch-Partenkirchen (with additional payment)
9611 Kochel – Schlehdorf (free of charge) - Murnau (with additional payment)
392 Kochel – Bad Tölz
9613 Kochel – Penzberg
